Junior 1 and Kinder - Actividades

Junior 1 -- Repasando animales de la granja, selva y domésticos.

Kinder 5 -- Separando las cartas por: animals, food, rooms of the house y profesiones.

Kinder 4 -- Family: jugando al memotest.

Los alumnos de Sala de 5 en Inglés y junto a Miss Vicky, trabajan todos los martes y jueves en su libro de actividades. ¡Compartimos algunas fotos con ustedes!

Junior 3

Los alumnos de J3 pusieron a prueba sus sentidos del olfato y gusto con Miss Analia. A la seño se le ocurrió hacer experimentos donde los chicos tenían que probar diferentes sabores y adivinar que comida o bebida estaban probando. Desde café hasta mayonesa..las caras lo dicen todo!

Continuamos compartiendo actividades que los alumnos de 5to y 6to año del Nivel Primario realizaron en el área Inglés para el 25 de mayo.

Los alumnos de 5to y 6to grado preparándose para festejar el 25 de mayo. Armaron excelentes proyectos e invitaron a todo el nivel primario a participar de presentaciones y juegos. La pasamos genial!

May Spirit all around!

J4 students learnt how factories work. They created products in a short period of time using time-saving techniques such as assembly lines and specialization. J4 students were helping their fellow companions from J5 and J6 to create pictures badges and decoration for May 25th. Way to go kids!

Southland is writing!

From Junior school to Junior High school, every single students is sharpening pencils. All writing genres are being explored; articles, letters and even horror stories.

Top 5 reasons why writing is important for kids and adolescents:

1. Writing builds confidence in a child’s sense of herself and her voice.

2. Writing helps kids create and strengthen their identities.

3. Writing fosters a child’s emotional growth and gives him coping skills for dealing with life’s many highs and lows.

4. Writing helps kids develop critical thinking skills - it helps them understand and communicate complicated ideas.

5. Writing leads to guaranteed improvement in academic achievement.

As humans, we all want to belong and feel connected - it is in our very nature as social beings. We want to be able to share our stories meaningfully and to hear other people’s stories in a way that resonates with our own lives. Do not forget that language is and will be the tool that brings us together. So let´s write on!
